Dontgetlost South Georgian Bay is a new local group organizing navigation events in the Collingwood, Blue Mountains, Wasaga Beach and South Georgian Bay areas. This event will appeal to first-timers and experienced navigators alike. Find as many flags as you wish in one hour as you run or walk in beautiful Loree Forest. All ages are welcome (children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent) and no orienteering experience is necessary. We will provide a free intro clinic one hour prior to the event start. Two courses to choose from: a Novice course with all flags on trail or in open areas, and an intermediate choose-your-own-adventure course for those who want more challenge. The Gallery at L.E. Shore is pleased to present a retrospective exhibition of the late local artist, Willi Wildman, during the month of May.
Willi was a prolific landscape painter and a popular art instructor who lived in the Southern Georgian Bay region from the early 1980s until her death March, 2022.
The exhibition includes dozens of Wildman's paintings from various private collections. Willi’s works are informed by and brilliantly capture the quintessential character and moods of the natural terrain, expansive skies and mercurial waters of Georgian Bay.
The opening reception takes place April 29th between 2:00 and 4:00 pm.
